Teen Parent Cooking:
- The Teen Parent Unit is part of Heretaunga College.
- It caters to 30 young girls with their babies.
- Time Bank Upper Hutt meets the identified need for some of the toddlers to have good nutrition.
- Some of our members cook on a regular basis for some of the children.
- As a result of regular nutrition the toddlers are blossoming.
- This is a Community Outreach Programme as Time Bank Upper Hutt does not get credits from the Teen Parent Unit.
- Our members are very socially conscious and believe that a healthy child has a better chance of developing into a productive adult.
